THE PASSING YEARS
by John T. Baker
When first we met that lucky long ago I cannot now remember what you wore Or said or where we went but this I know - The passing years but make me love you more. Each time I see the way your eyes still glow The thrill is ever greater than before And then I want to shout fortissimo: "The passing years just make me love you more." Together we have had our share of woe But when we come to calculate the score We find our blessings seem to grow and grow And every year I love you more and more. And so this anniversary encore - Each passing year I love you even more.
