OBSERVATIONS
by John T. Baker
It’s not a major problem With which they cannot cope, But all things being equal, Fat people use more soap. A sad but useful lesson that Experience makes plain - Friends may come and friends may go, But enemies remain. If you can smile when things go wrong And still act just the same, You’ve probably someone in mind On whom to lay the blame. Though Shakespeare bested all his peers And in his day sure showed ‘em, Imagine what he could have done If he’d just had a modem. It’s quite a disappointment and A letdown most immense That when at last you learn the truth, The truth does not make sense. If we could live our lives again Now that we know the score, We then could make the same mistakes Much faster than before.                                 The secret of success in life Lies not in luck but toil; He who would set the world on fire Must burn the midnight oil. We Southern Baptists are discreet And proper when romancing; We never make love standing up Lest someone think we’re dancing.
