Lost in the Forest
Deep in the forest, come with me,
where waits for us an old gum tree.
Cool in its shade then let us lie,
this for us, as the world goes by.
Grass is beneath us, leaves above,
a lovely place for us to love!
Only the bush to hear our sighs,
only watched by its kindly eyes.
Magical forest, ours alone –
as my wild cry and your deep groan
join with the bush sounds while the breeze
brushes bodies to cool and tease.
Come to the forest, take my hand.
I'll lead you to a secret land
deep in the forest, where you'll see
I'm lost in you and you in me.
